MBC is in a unique position to assist passionate business people to achieve great success in their own businesses. We aim to help others so they don’t have to endure the same mistakes we did. Nothing gets me more excited than being able to share insights and ideas and see business owners achieve their goals as a result.

Outside of business, my main passion is game fishing. One moment you are sitting back, enjoying the peace and quiet, and the next you have a surge of adrenaline and it’s game on. No catch is the same and you are constantly tested. Surprisingly, game fishing is much the same as business.

Staying focused has been one of my greatest challenges. Managing staff, clients and a growing, business has given me an understanding of prioritising. I get pretty inspired and have heaps of new ideas all the time – so it’s important to balance that with direction and processes.

While running a business is a major driver in most people’s lives we shouldn’t ever forget to focus on family. Constantly juggling the two can be very difficult, MBC has evolved into more than just an accounting firm so we can help take away some of the stresses that come with running a business.

Outside of MBC my main interests are camping and fishing. I love getting away with the family and hooking a few fish is an added bonus.

I’ve been helping people plan for their financial future since 2006, working across Westpac, Crest Financial Services and StatePlus before joining the MBC team in 2019. That breadth of experience — across banking, financial advice and industry super — means I’ve seen a wide range of situations and know how to find the right path for each client.

As a Certified Financial Planner and SMSF Specialist Adviser, my focus is on pre-retirement and retirement planning. I work with people of all ages and backgrounds, taking the time to understand their current position and what they actually want their future to look like, then explaining the options in plain language. For most clients, that clarity is what brings the greatest peace of mind.

Retirement means something different to everyone, and I take that seriously. Whether you’re years away and starting to think about the future, or close to the finish line and wanting everything in order, my goal is the same — to give you confidence about what’s ahead.
